20 And if the Lord had not shortened[a] the days, no flesh[b] would have been saved. But He shortened the days for the sake of the chosen ones whom He chose. 21 And then[c] if someone says to you, ‘Look— here is the Christ’, ‘Look— there He is’, do not be believing it. 22 For false-christs and false-prophets will arise, and will give signs and wonders so-as to be leading-astray[d], if possible, the chosen ones.
